Okay York – Show me some Love! Six Days to Go!!

Friday, October 25th, 2013 03:51 pm GMT -5

As you all  know, I’m attempting to raise funds so I can get a building for this attraction.

While I can honestly say I DO have a “Plan B” in case this doesn’t work – I would much rather use “Plan A” and do it 100% perfectly the first time.

I understand that in the current economic climate it is difficult to come up with extra money to just “give away”… and I also would NEVER ask for someone to divert money they intended to give to a charity and give it to this project!

But I have to think that when I see a guy on the news that spent over $100,000 to have surgery done so he can look like Justin Bieber there has got to be someone out there who would love to be part of this project and has the resources to support it! But how do I find this person?

There also has to be a company in York that would love their name attached to a project like this. Over the years I’ve seen companies sponsor everything from Softball Teams and Car Races to Mixed Martial Arts matches. But how do I find these companies?

I am increasingly convinced that I need a P.R. person to help with this, because once people sit with me and hear about the depth of this project and what it will mean to the community they are excited and energized by it. But it is getting in front of those people that is my challenge.

So maybe if you can’t help with the project – you could be a surrogate P.R. person for me!

If any of you reading this “know someone that knows someone” it would be great if you could get this project in front of them. I’d be forever grateful!

Even penny counts… and every person that shares a link to this page gets us one step closer to achieving our goal. Thank you for your continued support.

York Daily Record Rocks!

Today I was awaken by texts and emails because our story was covered on the front of the morning paper.

It’s so cool when you think about the technology we’ve grown accustom to… The fact that I can track when people get up and read their papers in the morning by looking at hits on my web page.

I’m curious to see what kind of stats increase after this story runs….

I find it interesting that I’ve managed to get tens of thousands of hits on my page so easily….
I hope some if this attention translates into support!

Thank you York Dispatch!

Just when I was starting to think that the story on sinister shadows would never run… Mollie Durkin emailed me and told me my story would be on the front page!

(Here’s a link to the story)

What I like aboutthis article, is that for the past 10 years I’ve been trying to find the best way to explain what my project is all about… And Mollie was able to capture that!

As always I must tip my hat to John Pavoncello for his excellent photography work. He can always bring out the best in people, and considering the subject he was taking pictures of (me!) that is saying something!

I can’t say enough about the employees of the York Dispatch and how professional they are.
Thank you so much for helping me make my dream come true!

A sweet surprise!

Today was one of those days where I became completely overwhelmed and frustrated fixing things.
The moment I woke up, I was racing against the clock and shorter days of daylight.
Ill spare you the boring details of fixing animatronic robot shows and restaurant equipment…
Today ended on a high note when my friend John Gill brought over a new tool he built after watching a YouTube video…

John had built a commercial grade cobweb slinger. And donated it to the sinister shadows project.
On a day that I felt like I was completely alone, this was an awesome reminder that there are people out there pulling for me!
Not only was the thought nice, it actually works extraordinarily well!
Thank you John!
